Wildlife Experiences in Scandinavia
Northern Scandinavia is truly the last wilderness in Europe. From the mountains and fjords of Arctic Norway, the bare tundra stretches north to the shores of the Arctic Ocean and the Barents Sea and the vast taiga forest, home to bears, wolves and golden eagles, spreads through Finnish Lapland and over the border into Russia. The European Arctic includes the high Arctic archipelago of Svalbard, realm of the polar bear and walrus, and even Greenland, largest Island in the world, with its glaciers and Icebergs emanating from the biggest ice-field outside the Antarctic.
In these days of low price European air fares a photo adventure in the Scandinavian Arctic is just a few inexpensive air hours away and will give you wildlife experiences that can easily rival more distant and expensive destinations like Alaska or even the Antarctic.
We offer value for money "no frills" field courses for wildlife and landscape photographers in different environments in Scandinavia. Our winning concept is to get you to the best locations at the best times with our expert course leaders, so that you return home with the shots of your dreams and lasting memories of close encounters with the natural world.
We do not offer luxury accommodation with 3-course dinners. We live close to nature in cabins or sometimes tents, we eat good local food, employ English speaking teachers and guides and use non motorized transport as far as possible, so that we do not disturb or damage the environment.
We organize both scheduled and tailor made courses and our experienced course leaders are professional nature photographers who will advise and help you get the best shots.
